Default IS250 Sudden Loose Steering

I brought this problem up before but I didn't really get a clear answer or solution. I shrugged it off, but now it's really bothering me.

The problem is when I am turning in to a long stretch turn, I will have no problem turning in to the turn. The steering is precise and stable going in, but once I am half way maintaining through the turn, my steering will loose pressure and become loose suddenly like a sudden twitch. This causes me to quickly turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction to compensate so I don't over turn to one side.

This does not happen all the time, but happens enough for me to wonder what is going on. There could have been uneven road or bumps during the turn I am not sure but would something like that cause the car to behave like this? I have an Integra and I never experienced anything like this before.

I brought this up with the dealer before, but they either can't replicate the issue or say its normal due to the wide profile tires. I don't really buy it ....

How's the level in the steering fluid? Perhaps during the turn it changes the level....

The car has an electronic power steering system (eps) instead of the traditional power steering pump.

Was the recall on the power steering done on your car? That could possibly be the culprit.

It sounds like something is wrong with the electronic steering

Probably needs alignment.

I think I know what you are talking about. I feel that sudden loose steering on my 09 too when I drive on a particular road with uneven surface close to my home. It only does this on that road and not elsewhere. I have to hold the steering wheel a bit harder when I pass by. I guess it's normal.

i had to have my PSR swapped out.. lexus says it lost communication to the ECU ???
they had to replace the whole thing? my car was at the dealer for 2.5 months getting the PSR replaced.... what a headache for something "electronic to lose connectivity"

unsure about the Comunication protocol between ECU and PSR but that sounded a little Off to me. well its been a year now since its been replaced no issues.

i was reversing out of my driveway when i noticed the steering wheel was not turning.
