Default Swapped my console, steering wheel and door switch lights..

Hey all thought I would share my little project I finished..I broke my ankle and had to have surgery so while I was home I decided to swap out my led's on my console, seat heater switch, steering wheel, door switches, and engine start button. Pretty much all the lights possible.

For the Seat warmers/cooler it requires a 3mm dual color LED, but i dont see any from the site you gave me.

Also, I don't see size 1206 either. Did you use the plcc-2?

Does every LED bulb have to be soldered into place?

Since I already voided the warranty on my nav unit by installing all kinds of bypass and iPod equipment I might as well try this too. I'll let the rest of you socal people know how easy or hard it is to do when I attempt this in the next month.

seems like this may be a a little easier with two soldering irons.... you should be able to lift the LED's out by quickly applying heat to each side of the solder pad

Please take a couple snaps of the PCB once you have it taken apart....

Thanks for the DIY

What's a good soldering iron for this job? I have one but the tip is kind of big. It's used for construction -_-' haha.
