Default First Retroed 2IS!! (Maybe)

I have been working on this for awhile and I am glad its all done. My first retro was the stock 2IS HID projectors, it was okay for awhile but I felt like the light wasn't as significant and not much color to it. So I decided to retro some SC430 projectors with E30 clear lens swap and spaced to the desired color. I must say its much better. Lots of color, very wide compared to the stock 2IS projectors, plus much more intensity, and best of all, the flicker effect. There's also some purple on the cut off, you can't really see it in the pics, but in person its very clear. These pics don't do justice for the lights, you have to see it in person to appreciate.

Here is the old 2IS projector retro with S2000 clear lens

This is my new set, SC430 with E30 clear lens

Hope you guys like the pics!

Looks awesome did you do it yourself or have someone esle do it? I've been dying to do a retro but the price has been keeping me away.

I did it all myself. The first retro was my first, so the SC430 projectors would be my second time. I go to HIDplanet.com to get advice from them. You can get a lot of info from them. Sorry I don't have any diy. I had to make my own brackets to make it fit. If I get a chance to open up my old pair of headlights with the 2IS projectors I will try to take some pics.

If you wait patiently you will find very good deals. I had to wait about a month or so. I got the projectors for 110 which was a steal! I look at ebay a lot, that's where I got most of the parts. Retro is well worth it and will outshine a HID kit. It's the best way to go.

Yeah Ive seen good deals on the projectors but there is no way im touching that. Customlightz.com quoted me 1000 dollars for parts and labor.

I was thinking about letting somebody else do the work, but it costs way too much and I can do it on my own with just half of the cost.

damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn look at that blue cutoff line. For all the NOOBS, that is what you suppose to do to get that "blue" look from BMW. Not them ricer blue 6000k+ bulbs.

To the OP, are you using 4100k or 4300k bulbs? I wanted to do this to my car but I think it's a mission to get it done if you have the stock HID and AFS.
