So i got a letter yesterday from caflor industries saying that i was randomly picked to give them my is350 for some kind of tests. To procure vehicles for a government mandated vehicle exhaust emission evaluation program. As an incentive for my participation they will provide me with:
200.00 check upon the completion of the evaluation
appearance enhancement treatment(wash, vacumm, and windows)
a replacement vehicle for the duration of the evaluation
a full tank of gasoline for your vehicle after the evaluation.
They said that they would need to use up 150miles of my car and i would get another lexus as the rental
what do you guys think>?? should i do it?
honestly i was thinking not to..cause what if something happen to my baby..lol id rather drive my own damn car!
i dont know..what would u guys do
I agree with the others. What they're offering seems sketchy and to be honest with you, $200.00 and the other "benefits" just don't compensate or outweigh the risks associated with this deal. Don't do it
say no! like previous posts, it doesn't sound legit enough and frankly they aren't even giving you close to offset the risks. that said, i don't think they could give me enough to do something like that... we have enough problems when giving our cars to the lexus dealers for a short amount of time, who knows what'll happen with those 150 miles? how long were they planning to keep it anyway?
fyi, they do have a website, but not much info. on it and i, as well as many others probably have never heard of them before this and never will hear of them again.
NO WAY!! even if this is on the up an up I would never hand over my $40,000 vehicle to who knows who for who knows what kind of "tests". And all you get is $200 and a vacum and wash...NO THANKS!
I also live in Michigan and got a letter from them. I concur with the bulk of these posts and will not be renting my car to anyone. Even Judas got 30 pieces of silver.
