Is it safe to switch to Sport mode while driving？

I was feeling rich so I opted for a Sport+ button which not only throws car into a whole new performance level but it also immediately zaps my wife with a non-lethal dose of electricity in the passenger seat which renders her unable to complain to me how loud my exhaust is.
