Default Any harm to switching from auto mode 'D' to manual mode while driving?*

I'm lazy and drive around in the 'D' automatic mode most of time, but would love to switch to Manual mode from D mode, use my peddle shift, when there are people want to race me while driving on road.

Of course it's fine. Is this the first automatic you've owned? (Serious question)

If you switch more than 3 times from D to manual and back.. you may lock up your transmission causing the engine to shut down. This may be a bad idea going at speeds above 60mph.. you might fishtail into the nearest unsuspecting vehicle causing you and your loved ones in the vehicle to be sent into a crazy spin bound to eventually plow into the nearest italian restaurant where your vehicle will finally come to a rest but before a wave of pepper/salt/fresh herbs/pepperoni/mushrooms and other random ingredients fly into the air causing you to suffocate and possibly die.

This has happened before.

I call BS. I had you up until the end.

You won't crash into an Italian restaurant. You'll crash into a Korean restaurant where all the kimchi and uncooked kalbi meats will engulf everyone in a 100 yard radius, causing mild burns and in extreme cases long-term hairloss.

Oh and switching between drive and manual mode even once will void your warranty.

Occasionally when put in manual, the car will shoot out a red turtle shell and hit whoever is in front of you, causing them to spin out. It's a great way to win a race...
