How much to push the 2UR-GSE?
I had my 08 ISF for 3 years 70k miles(did 60k in 2 years) with catback and tune and sold with 100k and current owner still enjoys it, nothing ever broke other than valley plate covered by corporate. Redlined it quite often, autocross and drag raced a few times.
I have had my 12 ISF for 2.5 years, 30k miles, bought it with headers/exhaust and tuned and have also redlined it and roll raced and autocrossed. Bulletproof cars and I have taken both only to quality shops and only the dealer for oil changes. I do 4k mile full synthetic oil changes. Seeing a few of these motors opened up on youtube with 200k miles+ still in great shape shows that they were over engineered.
The only thing to consider worrying about is the coolant valley plate leak which seems to affect newer RCF/GSF as well. All in all it's a simple gasket failure that will take weeks to loose coolant, so not a catastrophic sudden repair. Many are covered under Lexus warranty.
