Were the LEDs only on some 2011s? Were the OP's BiXenons changed out to lows only at some point?
the low beams are xenon, the low beams and fogs are halogens. The DRLs are LED however. Previous model years don’t have that led DRL. That’s my best understanding.

Low beam is HID. High beam and fog are xenon/halogen (xenon is a halogen gas). DRL in the early models is a reduced power to the high beams making them look a pathetic yellow color which was replaced with LEDs in 2011 and later models.

So the high beams are indeed led in MY11 and up? And I can use xenon for fogs?

No… he’s saying the High Beam bulb is halogen / dull color.. (always off on your car, unless you need the HIGHs)

The LED strip is what’s used for Daytime Running Lights on MY11+

The fogs in 2014 were LED and are retrofittable to earlier models.

And those are the only OEM LEDs in any IS F. LED headlights came much later for Lexus. RC F has them as an option, and GS F came with triple LEDs on all US models. I like the GS F headlights a lot. They work well.

Actually my 2010 Lexus HS250h has OEM LED headlights, well before the 2013 GS and later RC's NX's etc.

So let me ask you this. I have a 2011 IS 350. Today my left beam went out and the DRL on that side is also flickering. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Is this a bi-product of the low beam bulb going out? Basically, if I replace the low beam, should I expect to see everything go back to normal or should I take this to Lexus right now?

Does the DRL work correctly when it’s on by itself? W/o the headlights on? Or does it flicker regardless?
