Question Advice on Retrofitting light bulb

So my car failed MOT last time I was in the UK due to not having the rear fog light indicator working.

So long story short I have to retrofit a small bulb that will switch on whenever the rear fog lights are switched on.

The wiring is already done but I just need to find the right bulb so I can solder them onto the existing wires.

I plan to put it somewhere on the dash (highlighted below in Yellow).

Does anyone know what type of bulb I can get that'll work for this purpose or more importantly where I can buy it

Are you talking about the cluster bulb type?

no I want to retrofit a single bulb into the dash console (yellow smudge in the first pic).

My cluster does not have a bulb for the rear fog light to come on, and I'd rather just retrofit a small bulb outside instead of opening up the cluster.

One more question for you guys, now how can I tell which wires I have to solder onto which coloured wire?

lol i.e. how can I tell which wire is positive and which is negative? would a simple mulimeter do the job?

A multimeter is perfect.
