Default Trunk lip paint?

Not sure if this is F (because of the wing?)specific, or happens to all the 2IS, but both my car and the one I looked at were missing paint on the bottom lip of the trunk lid where it would hit the bumper cover. Is there a fix for this? Adjusting the trunk stops? Has anyone else noticed this issue? I'll repaint the lip, but I don't want it to just keep coming off. I'm on a coast so I need to protect the car from rust.

Not the lip, the actual trunk lid. It's not visible when shut, it's the surface that faces the bumper when closed, its facing you when you open the trunk.

Yes, lower part of trunk lid is plastic.

I know exactly what you’re talking about. Mine has the same issue. I just let it go because I know that part is plastic. I figured it was probably the plastic flexing which caused that to happen.

I noticed the same issue. I put on a strip of PPF. Not sure if it made a difference.
