Default Seat brand advice

Hey guys,

I'm looking at aftermarket seats for a project, and I’m curious about build quality of the different brands. I’ve seen online that Brides are high quality if you buy an authentic one. How about Sparco, Corbeau, and any other brand? I have seen a lot of second hand after market seats selling that didn’t hold up well.

Just looking for overall quality recommendations. I prefer not to spend a ton of money, since this is for a simulation racing rig and not a real car. Thanks in advance!

I didn't bother getting a fancy real seat for my sim rig. Sure I could use a nicer seat but for the couple hours a week I play I couldn't justify it currently. I'm using a GTR Sim rig/seat + Thrustmaster T300RS + TPA3 Pedals and TH8A shifter for GT Sport.

I’ve gone a little more aggressive (spending more than needed).

I bought a Fanatec v2.5, Xbox one x wheel, and their V3 pedals. Also ordered a Sim-Lab TR1. The seat is the final piece.

I sim race a decent amount in the winter since my car goes into storage. I still race about one entire evening a week with my brother during summer. It’s kind of our social thing.

I have always played on an Xbox remote, so I’m looking forward to a more realistic experience.

Glad to see another Sim racer on the forum. Anybody else?

I do the occasional Assetto Corsa drifting and time attack on Laguna Seca. Good to see other people on here with sims.

Thrustmaster setup, RS Seat, Gt Pedals.

Suggest trying some non-genuine bride seats on eBay. They look pretty comfy.

I found a sale on Sparco R333s for a little more than the knockoff brides. Does Sparco make quality seats?

They're like a less expensive Recaro. Pretty good stuff found at some top level teams depending on which one you're looking at.

Don't ever buy seats without sitting in 'em first. "An entire evening" is a long time.

I swung by the self pull junk yard and bought close to mint condition manual leather VW Passat seats. The set was 58 bucks. My brother gets one and I get the other. I’m very happy with the quality and comfort of them. It’s hard to beat OEM quality.

Thanks for the input.
