I don't know if its the coilovers just going bad with driving, or the guy at the shop messed up when adjusting like breaking the perch threads (cause its plastic) or breaking the set screws because they are so tiny. The car drove fine for years up until I brought her into the shop yesterday morning. Problem only started after the shop adjusted the coilovers.

Update on the situation.

So the threads inside the 2 rear perches (plastic) seem to be stripped. Not completely, but enough causing the set screws to not be able to lock down the perch. With that said, the perches have been spinning around due to vibration while driving. Apparently its a common problem with KW from what I have seen on other forums like mazda, bmw etc.

I wonder if they spent time to "clean" the threaded body before adjusting

Plastic spring perches? That’s a great example of a company sacrificing quality to save a few bucks.

For sure, thats being cheap. I thought they were metal. Now i feel the need to buy some as spares.
@MomoseISF
Are the front and rear perches the same part #?

I believe they are. Well according to KW's site, there is only 1 type of perch, so I am assuming they are the same.

I discovered my front passenger side unit had one the black dust cover separated and cracked. I had to take it off. Question is, how important is this and what should I do? Can I go just without?

This is the black sleeve I am taking about.

It was cracked, I had to remove it.

It has this part number
