Default What Locking Lugs Work?

What lugs and locking lugs do you all use? I’d like to protect my Volks. Thanks!

On my last set, I had the rays dura nuts. There's quite a few different brands that sell forged sets now. It's cool how light they can be.

You'll want 12x1.5 for size.

No online prices.... I’m sure those are steep. I may get a qoute from them. As I have looked into this, I have realized you can spend a LOT on lugs.

i use heptagonal (7-sided) jdm steel wheel nuts on my Isf & mr2. With ARP wheel stud kit #100-7715.

Not the lightest setup, but everything stays together.

Do you have a link to more info on the heptagonal lug nuts?

The link: "WWW.Monster-Sport.com"

I picked these up at the Tokyo Auto Salon in either 2002 or 2011.

Rimlox are like $375 a set.
But considering the TEs and tires on the F come in around 4k-5k to completely replace...

No kidding. I went with custom colors and even bought a 5th just in case I trash one.... I’m still sticker shocked lol. The sale price was good though.

Geez, some of these locking lugs cost more than my deductible.

I bet one of the biggest deterrents is common sense. If I’m going somewhere rougher, I’ll take our Honda. That’s a huge perk of the F being my third car, I can choose when to leave it at home. I want some decent locking lugs for a little added protection.

Very true, however sometimes I think a Honda is a more popular/convenient target for thieves. Maybe because they are more familiar with these types of cars and how to get into them? I'm planning start parking in a public transit park and ride soon and bought a base model, manual transmission Subaru Impreza. Sucks that we can't have nice things these days without worrying about it.

Nobody can drive manuals anymore, so that won’t get stolen.

Your right about the Honda. I’d much rather it get stolen than my 350 or F. A pilot is a dime a dozen.

We live in a dishonest world. If you work hard and acquire something nice, you become a target. Congrats on your new daily!
