I'm guessing it would need a new dipstick tube. Imagine calling Sikky to say " Hey I'm installing these counterfit headers for half price, but 0 RnD. Would you sell me your dipstick tube?"

I did buy the xforce exhaust myself and mates to the ppe headers no problem. I agree paying alot of exhaust and headers sucks, but I wasn't worried about the exhaust. If it was ****, I could easily unbolt it in 30mins, but again the headers are a different story.

Although 'most' of the issues came from incorrect installation...but there have been some where PPW sent out another set of headers.

V.
no installation issues with ppe, no relocation of dip stick either. ppe ftw

2008-2019. they cant even get the year range right lol. maybe if the price was lower it might be worth it. buy its not too big of a price break from sikky, PPE... especially if you get them used. don't go cheap here.

Coming from the 240 world. obx is pretty garbage. cracked manifolds in every forum related to motorsports because of the poor quality. fitment issues to go along with it.warped header plates. incomplete welds. the list goes on.

i cant afford ppe or sikky headers (yet) and I have an active exhaust leak. but im happy to wait, save, and get something quality b4 i ever buy obx. better use of your money is a fire.

EDIT: i should add this is coming from a regrettable purchase. wasn't a header but a turbo elbow that wouldnt button up properly because the metal had warped so badly i couldnt get it to seal onto the turbo. torqued to the point that i broke the stud and cost me more time and effot to take off the turbo, pull the broken stud and reinstall. giant headache i wouldnt wish on anyone.

I agree with this line of thinking. It takes too much effort to install them in the first place than to go cheap and hope you don't have to re-do it.

Hey guys been doing alot research on headers for this car and I know these headers have a bad wrap do to there previous products for other cars but I've found a review on someone who bought them and they had typical problems that I see people have with the sikky or ppe headers the 3 main problems where of course the dipstick, needing to extend the o2 sensors, and hitting a bolt on the steering colum all of which my friend who bought ppe headers had to get done besides the dipstick other than that he said the fitment everywhere else is good so I said **** it there only 850 after tax and shipping I might as well ill lyk how it goes

No matter what brand you go with you will have to extend the O2 sensor wiring. PPE uses the stock dipstick tube. Although Sikky doesn't make them for the ISF anymore they did provide a dipstick tube. As for me, I have Sikky V1. Fitment is very tight and the dipstick tube requires maneuvering and patience to fit properly. Sikky was right there with support. If you run into issues will OBX be there? I would also question the quality of the materials used.

The only time you'd need another dipstick/tube for PPE is if you go equal length headers. But most people dont go that route so PPE UEL headers do not need any modification to the dipstick tube.

The shop that installed my headers said its one of the best fitting PPE headers they've installed and they've been doing header installations since the IS F first came out.

There will always be some headers with fitment issues just by nature but Id rather spend the extra money and get a known brand that will back their product up if any issues were to arise.

"You get what you pay for" applies here.

If you already own them, don’t sweat it. Install them and enjoy your headers. Many of us have been down the road of poor fitting parts, and so we are willing to pay a little extra for a sure thing.

All that said, if this is your budget and it works, then your good to go.
