headers...will it really add that much power? Is it noticeable

I grew up with 1/4 mile dirt track cars. They didn't stink with leaded fuel. Unleaded stinks. Horribly. I will be using GESI cats when I finally do something with my exhaust.

Lead has a sweet smell/taste. EPA regs are also continually getting more strict on aromatics hydrocarbons in gas, especially benzene, which also has a sweet smell. I remember how good gas smelled when I was younger. To make up the octane loss from less aromatics, you need more branched chain and olefins, which don’t smell very nice. Of course benzene isn’t very good for you so sacrifices have to be made!

I have to admit I like the smell of my '74 360 challenger whenever I bring it out to play. That's mostly because that's the way the car has always smelled and it reminds me of cars from my younger days. I am not sure I would want that smell from a modern day super car like my F.

My wife hates the smell, my female coworker has never noticed it... so I think it’s subjective. I like it, but would not want it on my daily. I also don’t like loud daily’s though.
My wife asked if i plan to mod the is350... heck no. Keep it quiet and smooth.

I'm in the same boat here. Wanted near-FBO power for minimal cash, and from some reports, gutting stock manifold cats would net me something like 10whp shy of aftermarket headers... So I did that and added Gesi cats to the Borla exhaust. Between that and RRR's tune, it's definitely a different beast, but I've always wondered how much more is there!
Now that my stock manifolds are cracked and sound AWFUL, I'm thinking about headers. Plus, since I track her, I could get under there and swap engine mounts while I'm at it.
Anyone bite the bullet and try these? Seems they make a lot of junk, but muscle car guys have decent luck with the headers at least: https://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Racing-...8/163349035534

Poor fitment and May crack from heat... that’s the OBX motto.

Is the increase in underhood temperatures not a concern with headers? You do lose the heat shields that bolt onto the stock manifolds so that heat is free to radiate off the header.
Has anyone had a header crack from being wrapped?
How well does the ceramic coating hold up?
