Default How to paint trim?

My F had satin black paint applied to all of the trim on the car before I bought it. Some of it has flaked off. How do I remove the trim below the windows on the doors, and how do I paint it in a way that is permanent? Thanks!

Here is a video for removing the lower trim, couldn't find anything for the upper ones and apparently it's very difficult to take off (from what I've read)

Lower:

Mine is starting to crack too but I'll probably just plastidip/spray them as it will be the easiest method. Nothing is really permanent as it will eventually need to be done again at some point. Which is why I'll plastidip it because it's very cost effective and simple to redo if I don't like the end result

Good luck!

That’s what I was thinking of doing. Plastidip is actually pretty sturdy stuff.

There's also a vinyl or tape that people use on the trim that will probably last longer than plastidip. I forgot what brand it is

I just used one by Trim Brite on the weekend to black out the chrome portions (pics in my build thread). It's only been on a week but has seen a full cycle of rain and dry weather as well as a car wash and no issues. This is up in Canada-land though so not sure if it's the same brand down in the states.
