Default Thoughts on this 2009 Lexus ISF?

Hello everyone, I am new to the Lexus community, I have been looking to purchase a Lexus ISF for some time now and found this 2009 Lexus ISF with 101,xxx miles for 24,997 at a dealership. I went to go check it out a couple weeks ago and it had some flaws that made me
not want to pay the full price. For example the paint was pretty bad, had a lot of chips on the paint and had some drip marks on fender. The rear bumper also wasn’t on right, it was very sloppy. Whoever installed the carpet didn’t do a good job either, you can see the cuts they did if you zoom in closely. I made an offer but got declined, do you guys think $24,997 is a good deal ? Thanks!

I think that is the average price for this car with that mileage here in Florida - with clean carfax. I personally would not consider a car, even an ISF, with 100K+ miles. It's just too many miles for my liking.

Low 20's is about average price for an 08-09 these days, 100k miles is getting a lot more common for the older models as well. But in this case with this car, naw I would steer clear

Hard for anyone to know the true condition other than people seeing it in person...but its a 100k mile car, its going to have some rock chips, what do you mean by the paint is bad? Swirl marks?

Drip marks sound like it was resprayed? Could have been in an accident that wasnt reported?

From the video the rear bumper looks fine to me but again, hard to tell without seeing in person.

Unless you are totally set on that color or something it sounds like you could find a cleaner car out there for similar money.

Its a 2009 so you no LSD, old style suspension, no LED headlights. etc

Id say the price is about average but if its as bad as you say you should get it a bit cheaper.

Sounds like it is, so I wouldnt offer anything

Also nothing wrong with 100k miles. I bought mine with 93k, currently has 105k. Well maintained with many things done or repaired, and grey in color with non-white interior. Couldnt pass it up

Yup, fair enough. I bought my ISF last week with 19k miles on it. I immediately pulled the trigger.

Your approach is wrong.

Are you buying a price or buying a car?

2. Never buy the first car you see......

My 2008 has 178k miles and never a single failure... well besides the touch screen, the sticky dash, and the lame ML sub. Love it.

ive always hated how much people harp on miles miles miles when they look at cars

A car with 100k miles can look better than cars with 25k miles.

All depends on how the car was cared for, where and how it was driven etc.

a car that piles up 30k miles on the highway a year is a lot less abused than 30k miles on new york city pothole stop and go driving.

100k miles on these cars is nothing, shouldnt scare anyway away at all.
