The OEM Denso equivalent remanufactured units are a solid piece.. Remaned in Japan. To my understanding they only reuse the shell housing while all are internals and components are new.. They are also rebuilt likely right next to the new units made for the ones sold over the Lexus parts counter..

Oh nice. I didn't know that? How long has your Denso reman lasted you so far and did you replace it with another rebuilt one before or after sending the old one in?

Its been about 3 years so far.. I don't expect it to fail anytime soon..
Hope it last 10 or more years like the original OEM unit did..
Its a core swap part.. So you get a credit back once you return the OEM core.
I bought the same from Rock Auto. No reason not to buy a Denso remanufactured unit. If you want to go cheap, just get the bendix. They're under $100 now, and that's the part that actually wears out. The motor and gearset are barely worn when the bendix goes south.
