No. Not structural. The nature of the mounts ensures it is flexible, not a chassis stiffening agent.

Just a thought as the person on the UK forum putting a RR supercharger on, the pics show the bar cut in half to make way for the intercooler, I wonder if you had a front crash would you have a sh#t fight with the insurance company. It is a crash protection bar so it must be structural, and it is illegal to remove.????

The alu-minium bar your referring to is the "Front Bumper Reinforcement". It's not a structural member.

As legality would vary by jurisdiction, I would query your insurer.

Hi, you are referring to my build I believe? If so, the bar has to be cut to accommodate the FMIC, the installation guide from RR-Racing tells you to cut it, won't fit otherwise.....

I have also sent photos and a fully detailed list of all my modifications to my insurer, I work in the insurance business, so know how important full disclosure is when it comes to these things.

Given there is little strength offered by the reinforcement bar you are referring to, they had no issues with it being cut to accommodate the FMIC.
