Got all the parts and now waiting to see a few more pics from those who have done it before I do mine! Can’t wait to have this on my ISF!
Picture below is from my IS250
Personally I love the way the switch used in the Nav hack looks. I put a label on it with white letters and looks OEM and doesn’t need power.

I'm waiting for the same thing - my electrical diagram reading skills are weak, but I can follow directions and pics. Anyone who does a DIY with pics will be my personal hero.
I was looking for feedback like it crashes the navigation, or prevents the rear cam from coming on properly or anything along those lines
Time and money are not a big deal to me now that I have a time machine.
There were a 2-3 times in the past 6 months, that my rear camera didn't come on when put into reverse. Shifting it out of reverse and back into it fixed the problem. I would guess this was caused by a slightly bad wire connection I made. But it doesn't happen often. Another thing to note is that if you park using your front camera and forget to switch it off, the next time you start your car and put it in reverse, the front camera is still showing (since the button is still switched on) when you may think it is the rear camera showing . This caught me off guard a couple of times.
Can anybody provide a pinout for J50 and J51 connectors on the back of the nav system? I want to be sure I'm tapping into the right wires on my 2012 ISF. Something like the picture below.

First off, thanks for this awesome DIY.
One way you can change this up if you want it to "reset" is to use a momentary switch and a latching relay set up similar to this: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay....asp?tid=72501
Obviously it adds complexity, but you could wire it up in a way that cuts power to the relays when the ignition goes off, resetting everything to "standard mode" and you can just toggle back and forth buy pressing a button.

If 2012 nav is the same as 2009 nav, it should be easy to identify the wires you need to tap into if you look at the pictures in the threads I linked to.

Yeah that's one way to do it. I also thought about including another relay to make sure the reverse camera would have priority over the front camera. But rewiring it would be too much work for me, especially since I used only red wires in my circuit.
