18x9.5 +38 squared tire size/fitment question
Will I found some Advan tc418x9.5 +38 all around.
265/35/18 tires all around also.
I do autox once a month and track once every 3 months this is my daily driver also.
I plan to order rr racing coilovers next month also.
Can this setup fit my 2008 isF

Yes. You may possibly have a little tire rubbing on the outside lip. I’ve seen some run this without rubbing, some with. You may need a slight lip trim or roll or just to adjust camber. Maybe completely fine with a 265 tire.

Would you want a higher offset to not rub or a lower? I'm pretty new to wheels and want to do a squared 18" setup as well.

We do a Wedssport TC105x in 18x9.5 square +35 and it fits perfectly. A + 37 should bring the wheel in towards the frame a tad more than a 1/8 so I think that would be fine. I have 1 set of the Wedssports in stock at the moment.

OP- if you want zero worries, buy a 45 offset. The most popular track size is 18x9.5 et 45. We see 265s and 275 square tire setups on this forum often with no rubbing.

A 35 offset fits without rubbing on oem fenders and quarters? I have a 45 offset and I don’t see how another 10 mm offset is there.

Whether you get rubbing or not also significantly depends on how your shock travel is adjusted as well as camber. If we are talking track, then most track setups run about -2.5deg or more negative camber, so with track camber setting like, and proper setup of the shock length up front (which is why we use helper springs) that running 275 square setup on a 35 offset will work and should not rub.
If you are not running track camber then running 255 front with 35offset should be fine.

If that’s the case, 38 may be better than 45. Inner clearance is very limited with a 45. That’s assuming OP wants to run race camber.

We have them on our shop car. It certainly gets its fair share of track abuse. Usually, Rafi is pushing the car to a different level while testing for failure points in new products. Example: when he was jumping curbs at Watkins glen and cracked the windshield in an effort to push the limits of the new control arms.
Another thing to note about the +35's, customers usually have an expectation of a flush wheel. More often than not, a customer will put that on the priority list for wheel fitment. The +35 puts them right there at the fender face. If it's not a track specific application, then you can pair that with a 245 or 255 front for a great street look too.

On my 2008 I ran :
Wheels: 18x9.5+38 square Rays Gramlights 57CR
Tires: 255/40/18 275/35/18 BF Goodrich sport comp 2
Suspension: BC coilovers with swift 14/10 springs.
I had soft coilovers and a tall front tire, so I rubbed very slightly on dips and had rubbing going reverse at full turn lock. Wasn't that annoying and tires were meaty and comfortable. That being said, my rears were already rolled from a previous WedSport setup(19x9.5+35 and 19x10.5+45 with 245/275 tires, too much stretch and rub for me with the soft coilovers). Looking back I should have done 265/35 square and likely been great. The gramlights were aggressive looking and flush and had good depth to the spokes. Light too, I recall either 19.4 or 20.4 lbs depending on which website weighed them. To answer your question, at stock height with your suggested setup, you shouldn't have any issues.
On my 2012 I ran:
Wheels: 19x9.5+45 square same Gramlights 57CR
Tires: 255/35/19 and 285/30/19 tires Michelin tires(P4S front and PSS rear)
Suspension: HKS 16/10 coilovers, which were better than both the 14/10 BC swift, and the BC Swift 16/12 my 2012 ISF came with.
The 19x9.5's were 22 lbs and the car had no rolled fenders. Tires were meaty, and yes the inner wheel to suspension was too thin to stick a pinky between the wheel but I never had any issues. I had zero issues with rubbing of any kind, even on the worst dips. They were a little more sunk in, but still looked great and functioned even better.
Side profiles I felt the 19" looked better, especially since 255/40 on the 18 was a little too thick.
If you want more pics, plenty on my ig @russiancarguy anything before 2019 was the 18" black I painted gray. The 19" were HS Gunmetallic. Not the gun blue color.
