Shifting issue... normal?
Are downshifts in the ISF supposed to feel like downshifting in any old automatic? I didn't feel much revmatching happening and instead felt more like downshifting in my commuter corolla... the revs jumped up and I slow way down. While I understand the Audi's are using a DSG, when downshifting in those cars, the revs jump up, but you don't really feel much - the TCU/ECU work together to provide the added throttle needed to keep the shift fairly transparent. This is obviously in a scenario where I just want to downshift to prepare for a pass or a race or whatever, not to immediately floor it.
Just curious what i should be expecting out of the ISF gearbox. Upshifts seemed pretty good, but downshifts were clunky and lethargic. I tried M and sport modes as well, but I had a whiny salesperson with me who didn't want me playing with it much - needless to say she won't make a sale.
Thanks in advance.
