The right price for IS-F
Hello IS-F owners. I am thinking to switch from my loved 2003 GS300 to always dreamed IS-F
I saw it first time in 2008 at taste of Lexus event, and was waiting till I can afford to buy it. So time came by and I am ready to buy an IS-F. (Thinking GS-F, but even in 2-3 years the used one still will be out of my price range)
So making story short, I found one IS-F 2011 14K and asking price is 42K, it looks like lexus dealership doesn't want to negotiate a price. 1 owner all maintenance records.
What do you guys think? Is it too match or is it about right? I was thinking more like 38K-40K
Thanks.

It's highly unlikely you'll find a sub-20K mile 2011+ car for under $40K unless it's got a story. At $42K that car is priced about right, based on what i've seen in the past 6 months, especially since it's sold by a Lexus dealer. Is it Certified? If so, that could be a nice add-on. If the color is what you want, and the car is mint and local to you, you should consider it. Do look at the brakes and tires as those are both pricy and should be in excellent condition (likely new tires).
There are cars out there for $38K but they will have 2 or 3 times the mileage, which is not necessarily terrible, although it is debatable whether buying something with 40K+ miles and saving $3-$4K is a good tradeoff over buying that car.

Get the car you want....shop for a car, not a price. You can make the $2-4k back in no time....but you don't want to be stuck with a car you really didn't want just because "the price was good", lol.
That car, from a Lexus dealership, is priced well! As a matter of fact, so well that I don't think it'll last long. Don't keep snoozing or else you'll miss out on it! VERY rare to find an '11 ISF with a clean title with less than 20k miles on it! It's basically a brand new car! And getting it for 2/3rds the new cost!!
If its the Cor combo you want, go for it.

just as a benchmark -- paid 48k for my 2012 with 4k miles
this was the best price on the west coast by far:

clublexus member private party so take it with a grain of salt
I've been scouring the forums since May and nothing has topped this deal yet..
for 2011s at least with that amount of mileage..

Price is spot on, Id maybe even a consider it a good buy...
The people that say "you can get a 2012 for that!"..... well maybe, maybe not, probably not with 14k miles... but regardless, the main difference on 2012 is the wheels, other then that is basically the same car, 2011 has all the goodies the 2012 has for the most part. So id jump on it, if it hasn't been sold already. And if the wheels are that big a deal, there is someone selling 2012 wheels on eBay for 2500.00 with good tires....
