Transmission issue surge/thumping sound
wondering if anyone has this similar issue. From 2nd - 3rd in manual mode with partial throttle I have a surge as in it takes a second to shift to 3rd and It isn't as smooth as a shift compared to the other gears. At WOT no issues, but that one gear change has a slight hesitation and if I let off in 3rd I get a loud thump before it actually shifts with partial throttle. In auto it's smooth and no issues. Just had a transmission flush about 8000km ago. Wondering if I should call the dealership back because this wasn't happening before, I do downshift a lot to hear the exhaust rev match but before I take it back just wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue. Thanks.

Sounds like you should check the level first. It is well known to be a primary cause of anomalous behavior in these gearboxes. Just because they "flushed" it doesn't mean they set the level correctly.

They did mine and I still have the minor flare in 4th every morning if I'm going down hill. They rechecked and added .3 qts and it's the same .
I don't care anymore lol. I drive the shot out of mine and she's fine. A slight flare only in the morning in minor. For what you are describing I'd take it back
