Is 51K too many miles?

Hi! I'm looking into buying a certified pre-owned 2014 lexus IS 250 f-sport with 51K miles on it. I typically drive 10-12K per year and want to keep this car for at least 5-8 years - do you think I should pass on this one and look for one with lower mileage to save on maintenance and wear and tear from the car already having 51K miles on it, or are these cars like hondas where I can expect to drive it into the ground with minimal problems? The carfax shows one owner who bought it new in 2013 and it's clean - has been regularly serviced and no accidents. Do you recommend I jump on it, or move on and look for one with less miles?

with your criteria, i would say its a bit on the higher end. 51k miles is a lot for a 2014. unless you are getting an amazing deal, I'm sure you can find a lower mileage one for the same price.

Let us pray.....Dear Lord, as we celebrate you risen during this holiest of times we are thankful and blessed. We ask that you give us strength to answer F sport questions in the ISF forums, just as you had the strength while on the cross. In your name we pray, Amen.

What can we do to make it clearer that this is the IS F forum and not the F-Sport forum? These post happen much too often!
but OP, buy one with a lil less miles on it. They should be solid cars however.
Ask in the is250 section or search there and I'm sure you'll get a million hits for answers. Good luck!

I don't know about you, but I have a IS250 with V8 swap. Seems like the appropriate forum to me.

^^^^. Well that's good for; you. This is the ISF forum, not the 3rd Gen F-Sport forum, that's here:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...4-present-249/

And hope your happy with you modified IS250. It's still not an ISF. I'm assuming 2nd generation, so maybe post about your project here:

Why oh why did both Lexus and BMW throw on their flagship level badges on sport models?!

Least my wife's AMG Sport has nothing AMG on it aside from a small engraving on the wheels and the floor mats nobody can see.

Isn't that what we all said when they announced the kittens would wear a badge similar to the tiger's?
