i have noticed that.. RCF is definitely a top end car. It feels
much more planted at 100+ speeds. But much slower off the line.
I will consider doing an sc in the RC since I don't have to smog it for a while

Did you have to add any additional safety equipment to the car to run faster than 11.50 at your track?
I did not have any additional safety equipment although they said i need fire jacket. Newer cars if not sure on year do not require a rollbar at the time, and im not sure about the others.

I previously ran 11.75 @ 119 NA, although that was under almost perfect weather conditions, with weight reduction, IS350 Differential (way shorter than stock), and drag radials. On stock rearend under normal conditions the car ran 12.1 @ 117 iirc. So realistically it's about 10 mph and 1 sec decrease in 1/4 mile.

11.30s is pretty fast for a car with no launch control and a 1500rpm stall converter. What are your 60 foot times?

Default Weight reduction.

Is anyone gutting their SCs before hitting the 1/4 mile or what? I have not seen one post about I'm sure if your were able to shave her down to 3500lbs she would be a damn predator, sleeper if you will. Idk tho anyone?

it would definately make a difference. I personally wouldn’t want to give up as much as would be required to drop to that weight. It would be much easier if you don’t have a sunroof.

There are cars without sunroofs, and if you wanted to remove the sunroof, all the design work is done, parts are available from Lexus, etc. You'll get more headroom for your helmet too. It just won't be cheap. I've seen a few Supra guys do this to convert a targa top car to a hardtop (like mine is).

If I were building my car into an all out race car, I would do this. In the end, I like the luxury side of the F and think the cost may not outweigh the benefits. We have a member with a carbon roof that seems to love it. He races his all of the time I believe.

I would love more helmit room. Every time I line up I have to contort a little to get mine on, then can’t lean forward with it on.

I have the same problem with my helmet on. I have wished more than once I had special ordered one without the sunroof.
