Are people really trying to play sides here. Like the H&S exhaust overseas order went swimmingly lol. Any time you are waiting for a product to be manufactured you are at the mercy of their production schedule. Add in overseas shipping, and you can be in for a wait. Nature of the beast.

Lou has been fairly prompt with communicating with me via text message regarding my TE37 wheel order.

Hi
Firstly, thanks MiJ for responding to this thread with the info I needed. I have found their responses to email and voicemail patchy at best, and didn't post up here lightly, I did it because I was becoming very concerned about the delivery of my item as payment had been made upfront. I don't doubt MiJ is a legit outfit, but they need to get on top of their customer service and responding to customer inquiries.

Hope this is the last time a posting needs to be made on this topic as it looks as though the point has been made.

Thanks for all the comments.

I bought a part from mij. They claimed it was for a isf. (its for a lexus is250/350) Doesn't properly fit and had to use a few spacers to make it work. Still rubbed on my new black engine cover and damaged it. I also cut my side covers under the hood for this item. Pretty disappointed since I've contacted them several times and still hasn't resolved my issue. As far as toms kit, I waited 6 to 7 months approx as well. It didn't bother me since the retailer was honest and updated us every month on the eta. He also went out of his way to deliver them to us which was a 210 mile drive round trip.

I'm doing overseas shipment each week and I can tell you I know exactly where each vessel is. There can be delays but not 100 days..... More like 10-20 days at maximum.
I think the lack of communication between both company branch is the problem. Other thing is that they could be shipping these at a "ship it and it'll get there whenever it'll get there" so it may transit everywhere around the globe. The shipping company will still know where the container is. We are not in 1925
Out of curiosity, what commodity/commodities do you ship that you can clear customs and ship via sea container and get it to your end-customer in 10-20 days? I am asking because maybe I have been getting smoke blown up my butt by our logistics group for they cannot do it for telecommunications and electronic equipment.

Please let me know and thanks.

They probably have no idea how hard it is to start and run a business in this day and age.
Just like Lou said its out of his hands since its on a container coming from Japan and it's somewhere on a boat who knows where.
Its not that simple....it's not like ordering parts from a few states away.
If you order something from Japan you should literally just assume it will arrive when it arrives
OP is complaining about a lack of email response, bro.

i 100% have an idea on how to start and run a business and if you want to keep clients, you NEVER keep them in the dark for that long. shipping woes are not, you should have a direct line of communication with your supplier, who has a direct line of communication with the manufacturer and so on.

He's in Can if that makes a diff between our port inspections.., but I never had 100 days. What are you shipping? \

As for this thread - this is definitely a supply chain issue with the manufacturer, but if it were my store - I'd collect when I can guarantee a delivery date.

Anyone else having this issue?

Ok i think i figured your order number. ENDING 20175
I apologize for any delays in communication, we take customer service very seriously and make it a point to answer communications within 24 hours. Just to make sure we are not having email problems,I just checked our emails and records. I noticed the last email we received from you was on the 20th of October, and we responded on the 21st. Did you receive our email? If not please let me know and we can look into it. I can also re forward the email for your records.

As for your voicemail, we store all of our emails digitally and the last one on our records was as of September. If you called any other time, we didn't receive the call unfortunately.

Just to make sure communication is prompt, I can personally take care of you all the way to the finish on this order. I will send you a PM with my personal business cell phone number, you can also reach me directly any time via text message at this number, we are very quick to respond.

Again we apologize for any delays, unfortunately we can only relay the information told to us by TOMS Racing USA/Japan, but rest assured we are staying on top of this and will have all diffusers resolved shortly.

Mostly car parts. Doing business with DB Schenker.
We average mostly 14-21 days and have seen 5-6 weeks when temperature is bad.

This is 100% correct. As the end user, when dealing with Made To Order products from Japan, parts are usually special order and require production time with the given vendor as well as shipping time to consolidate and receive freight to the US,

Lou and the collective at Modin Japan are 100% stand up folks. As a JDM parts importer, we can confirm that this specific situation with Tom's Japan is 100% out of their control as feedback from Japan side is the cause of the inconsistencies in timing and production schedule for many of you that have ordered the Tom's parts. We've dealt with Lou for many, many years and we can support his work ethic and loyalty to making sure client's are well taken care of. Buy with confidence guys, this situation is just a hiccup in operations due to no fault of Modin Japan, and we are 100% confident that they will properly get everyone situated.
