Was wondering if anyone took a look at the CLA 45 AMG and what you guys think of the car vs the 2011+ ISF. In the market for a car but still debating and looking around. A used one with low mileage can be had around the same price. Thoughts are appreciated! thank you!

 

cla 45 amg more comparable to m2, imo.

 

Depends if u care about reliability or not

 

Depends if you want to enjoy driving the car more or having it in the shop more

 

Fast car, feels faster then the isf. I suspect highway they are similar with the Isf pulling on the very top end. Around town it feels faster though.

Kinda cramped cramped interior, not to say the isf is spacious. Less cargo space, fit and finish generally not as good at least as it ages. Develops rattles over time.

Lots to like but I'd take a c63 over a cla45 AMG...I understand that a different price range though.

just depends on what your after, I certainly wouldn't look down on the car.

Oh I can't stand MB's stuck on NAV screen, personal preference but it looks tacky, like an after thought. Some people really like it.

 

True at least size wise / power but 2 door vs 4 at least for peeps with family's is a pretty massive difference. Otherwise pretty spot on.

 

Cla45 AMG is capable of running 12.2 consistent with awd launch control, where the isf is around 13s pending on traction. On a roll, it should be somewhat even. The interior of the cla is cheap and full of plastic though, and I would not want to own one outside of warranty

 

I raced a white CLA45 multiple times on the freeway coming home from July 4th. I pulled on him every single time with ease from 50-120mph by about 3 car lengths with him taking off first, he flew by me on the last run since I hit traffic & it sounded terrible IMO, like a Fiat 500. I only have a borla catback

but MB reliability and cost long term or even once you are out of warranty hmmm not worth it

 

The CLA is one fugly looking car for sure!! You can barely tell the front from the back. I was hugely disappointed in the styling of this car when it was released. The looks alone are a killer for me.

 

No kidding, I pulled on one with just straight pipes. He was weaving in and out traffic in a two lane road. I saw him coming in my rear view mirror. When he got to me we both were at the front in a red light. That's the first time I saw that car in the wild. As soon as the light turned green he gunned it. I was ready for him though...by the end of 2nd gear I was already pulling away. The best part was that two lane road became a 4 lane road by our football stadium. At the next stop the owner asked in confirmation, "Hey! You got a V8 right? Over 400 horses?" I replied "yes!" He gave me thumbs up and we went our separate ways.
