Hey guys, so I was over on the 370z forums researching their cars out of curiosity on how they respond to modifications and such (I like to learn a lot) and while I was on there browsing I found a thread on the ISF posted a few years back.
Apparently the OP from that thread was trying to get into a brand new ISF and leave his 370z behind. But for some reason he felt he couldn't do it because the ISF just didn't feel as fun as he hoped it would. From there the entire thread turns into a bash on the ISF and how he should get the "good car" and go with an m3 if he's gonna switch. We're talking about a 2011 here too by the way, so it has the differential and all that.
What do you guys think? Have any of you driven or own a 370z? What is your take on this? As a potential future ISF owner I'm genuinely curious as to how you guys feel about this.
Stop worrying about what other people think. If you want an IS-F (which you've made very apparent with multiple threads and posts on the forums the past few weeks), buy an IS-F.
You're sure to get different opinions based on what forums you're on.
ALLOW ME TO CLARIFY : I'm still getting an ISF regardless of others opinions. I want the ISF for multiple reasons other than just power and wow factor that I'm not gonna go into detial about all over again. Sorry TsunamiF for not stating that sooner.
I made this thread just to see what you guys think about this. Specifically those of you who have driven or own a 370z... I just found it odd that the Nissan guys would call the ISF boring is all. My mind is still made to get the ISF. Thank you
I came from a 370z. It was definitely a fun car, great handling, neat engine features and manual rev matching, got lots of looks (if you're into that kind of thing). But it felt unfinished, like Nissan just kind of half *** improved on the 350, said "meh", then sent it out for sale. I switched for a reason. The isf is far better in drivetrain, fit and finish, and overall "polish".
Most of the bad mouthing done about an ISF is done after someone with a "sports car" gets absolutely walked by one, I've seen the same on mustang forums and audi s-line forums.

FURTHER CLARIFICATION : I made this thread thinking you guys might find what they say funny in a way. Just wanted to see your general thoughts on it. Also I've never been in a 370z but have rode in a blot on +tune Hr 350z so I found this kinda ridiculous too lol. Happy Friday guys!!

Good to hear. Your previous thread should indicate just how special the IS-F really is, especially when compared to a 350z/370z.
Haha yeah I got front page on the forum for that one too which was pretty cool. To be honest I don't really care for the Z even though their fast (faster than my 350 anyway) they just don't offer enough to keep me satisfied. Part of the reason why I like my is350 is because it offers both luxury and speed when you want it. The ISF is just a more extreme version of that lol.
I think most of us don't care what other car forums think about the F.... I know I don't. Only thing I like about the Z's is the stock exhaust note.
That makes sense. I imagine once I get mine I'll get hate for it. When I got my IS350 my brother bashed me for not getting an STi. And now that I want an ISF, he's bashing for me not getting something "faster" like a 5.0, SRT8 or something that you see almost everywhere on any given day lol. I told him speed isn't everything and also that the ISF would probably take out a 5.0 anyway if it had full bolt on and a tune. He sighed and walked away..
Personally, I dont know why he would have even made that post to begin with. The Z and the IS-F are two completely different cars, in different categories, and different price brackets. He might as well of said, hes debating over a Civic or CTS.
