Default Otr intake

Is there any such thing as a otr intake with a mafless tune ( speed density ) for the isf it would make good sense because there is heaps of room for otr intake any thoughts???

I have wondered this myself, for those in the know this is what we are talking about:

This will be a game changer for this car, constant cold air and such a short distance into the throttle body. Also will generate a "ram air" effect as the car goes faster.

These have had MASSIVE gains for the LS1 etc for years, i have installed a couple with MAF'less tunes and the difference was staggering.

RR Racing should make one!!!!!

Unfortunately, the ISF cannot run speed density.

This would require completely re-engineering the ECM. Not even close to possible for a reasonable amount of money. Speed density has its own issues anyway - there is a reason all the OEMs used closed loop with a MAF and it's not entirely emissions control.

Big power GTR's switch to Speed Density to not be limited by the MAF size. The big power GTR's also have better drive-ability comparing to cars running huge MAF tubes. For big power SD is the way to go.

I was going to try and see if I could make it work ( still fitting the MAS ) and doing an OTR air intake like this http://www.knfilters.com/images/l/63-3073.jpg but not sure of clearance issues, may would have to take some of the plastic covers off the front or cut them to fit this

Some of the OTR intakes still use the Maf sensor, and they still have a big performance increase.

its definitely possible. You make one, I'll buy it haha!!

They used to say the same thing about Alpha N. It's not very good technology.

yeah without something like a standalone I don't see speed density being something the isf will ever get

that's what the E9x M3 used and those ran fine drivability wise/big power wise
