Default headlight bulb questions

i have a 2008 model and recently my passenger headlight bulb went out, my friends who are here in the forum let me borrow one in the mean time till my order got here for new ones (ijdmtoy) then suddenly my driver's side one goes out while my borrowed one still working by that time my order has arrived so i decided to replace them both. they worked great for a few days and suddenly one went out again. i put another spare one on the mean time while my second order comes in, this time i order a cheap pair from ebay, i put them in and they work right away and still working fine but the color is a little off. i ordered 6000k which is white but this bulbs have a tint of blue and pink.

does anyone have suggestions to where i could get good quality bulbs or is there a vendor here? thanks

eBay has them but for a pretty expensive price... but then again these ones probably won't go out as easily as the normal ones

the bulbs from ijdmtoy are a joke. I had pretty much the same experience with them as you. I sent them back because the bulbs kept flickering and going out. Ordered some Phillips 6k and have not had a problem since. Garax bulbs are also great bulbs for a great price. I had these in my GS460...cheap HID bulbs equal trouble..especially Chinese bulbs....

if its $60-$80 for a pair it is more then likely a knockoff. if its 60-80 for each bulb that is pretty much the price. i would only go with authorized seller, never ebay for bulbs as there are too many knockoffs. I am not running philips or osram but using morimoto xengreen from theretrofitsource. compared to the philips which my friend is running, the philips looks to be a tiny bit clearer but it almost looks the same like you would have to really look at it closely. also warranty is amazing with them as well. I had a problem with one bulb that went out after 2.5 years. retrofit still covered for the bulb and since that bulb was old compared to the new style bulbs it wouldn't look identical so they upgraded my other bulb for $18. they stand behind their product so I always get stuff from them.

I personally am more of a fan of the CBI bulbs. They are not as blue and offer more light.

You cannot go wrong in terms of quality though.
