Default Suspension upgrade from DGR to ?

So, I have a DGR suspension coilovers on my F. It's pure crap. It was on the car when I bought it.
http://dgrcoilovers.com/product/lexu...nce-coilovers/

Seems to be a 19/15 spring rates.
It's so bouncy that I need to lift throttle if there's a bump in the pavement. I tried going full soft, full hard and everywhere in between. It's ok when you ride normally like the shocks are not worned out but when it comes to holes or bump..... It's just unpredictable.

I'm shopping for a new suspension. I have an 09 and OEM shocks are still available if that is an option. I can withstand pretty high spring rates (these 19/15 are ok with me if the damping was up to the task)

In the past I had:
Civic Si on Koni/Ground Control (400/450)
Acura TL on KW V1 (too soft for track purposes)
IS300 on KW V3

The KW seemed quite soft for the ISF. I track my car 4 times in the summer. I'm not unlimited budget on this suspension, the price of the KW is around maximum I can go.

What are your suggestions?

If you're willing to spend a little more, you can grab the Penske Coilovers from RR Racing or Figs Engineering. FIGS is able to customise the KWv3 with better spring rates. You might have to check with him. A bunch of forum members are also running BC Racing with the swift upgrade.

We can do the custom KW as well but you will be suprised with how good the BC Racing are with the SWIFT upgrade and custom spring rates. We can customize the swift springs to anything you want and revalve the shocks to match.

By reading on the forums, people are still complaining about the bounciness of the BC with 16/12 setup. I never rode in a car with them. Did you try them?

Few times. It's the most popular spring rate setup we sell on that car. Maybe they were on standard coilovers springs not the BC but 16 is stiff. You can even go 16/14 and stiffen the rear a bit more

People were mostly coming from stock suspension on 08-09 or springs only

Yea i figured. There is a huge difference with going with the Swift upgrade on these coilovers. Makes it feel like a totally different coilover system all together.

Once you get into the Swift spring upgrade, and potential valving upgrades, wouldn't you be in the price range of something like the HKS GT IV's?

Not sure how they compare, but had a set of HKS on my NSX back in the day and really liked them.

There $1318.99 with the Swift Upgrade. HKS coilovers are hit or miss. Alot of people do not like them. Personally on the Lexus platforms we here more bad than good.

Hmm bummer. Thanks for the feedback though.

I had BC's on my Volvo for about a month before ripping them off. Not with swifts though. But still didn't leave me with a great impression. Plus I know how quality consistency can vary with valving on suspension from that neck of the woods.

I just received my BCs with swift springs (16/12K)..cant wait to get them bolted up.

My previous experience with BC coil overs on my Subaru Legacy was pretty good, and I have read that the ride quality is very good on the ISF platform.

I am currently running swifts springs on the stock struts, I hope the ride stays close to what I have now.

That's exactly what I'm on currently (swift springs/stock struts) but am very curious as to your opinion on the BC's with the swift upgrade @ 16k/12k spring rates!

When are you going to install them?

You'll really get a bunch of mixed answers about the BC's from various members on the forums. It's really on what you like and can tolerate. It'll also depend on the application you use it for as well.

BC has gone a long way over the last few years. A couple a tweaks here and there in their manufacturing and I guarantee no comparisson to the designs a few years ago. They spend a ton of money on R&D , even do in house testing at their facility in Florida (seen it first hand in January), you will be impressed.
