Bilstein B6 Monotube Shocks for ISF
#32
Thanks got that mixed up a bit, any suggestions on springs to go with them then? Im not too concerned about replacing them before i fully wear out the current ones, just looking for an improvement in ride without losing the flat-cornering feel the car has now.

Springs usually last a LONG time, far longer than shocks, and it's not uncommon for them to last the life of the vehicle. As springs wear the car will start to ride a little lower, and very rarely will a spring flat out break. All of the aftermarket springs for the ISF that I'm aware of will lower the car, so if you don't want to lower it then stick with the springs you have and just replace the shocks. Or if you want to replace them just get new OEM springs. I have a feeling that these Bilsteins will be the perfect shocks to improve ride quality while retaining the sporty handling and not getting sloppy.

I dont want better ride. I want 100% even ride. I giggle at how ****ty the ISF rides and I live in AZ where the roads are as smooth as glass. I can only imagine what the guys in the mid west and north east deal with .

I live in Arizona and have the stock suspension of my '08. I may be in the minority here, but I'm really quite pleased with my suspension setup. It's stiff without being jiggly and with my wider wheels and tires it corners like it's on rails and handles like a dream. At some future date when my shocks become worn, I will probably go with the Bilstein B6 shocks.

Well I'm looking forward to being down in AZ for flight school soon, I'm already missing the amazing roads from florida with the F, any input on these bilstein shocks + stock springs vs BC coilovers with swift springs? The drop is irrelevant to me i mostly care about the performance and comfort.

The only thing harsher than the ride of a stock 08-10 ISF is when some dummy goes and puts run-flats on it. That's what was on mine when I bought it and they came off immediately. They were unbearable, even with the smooth AZ roads.

I'm an 11 on Swifts so am happy to hear about the ride quality. Definitely will put this on the to do list for next year. Right now I'm pretty satisfied with the swifts but will want adjustability once I get some wheels.
