New to Me ISF
Hey-
New to the club here. I have a GX470, however first time I'm venturing into the Lexus performance side.
After owning several BMWs I had been in the market for a E39 BMW M5 for the past several months as it was one of my childhood favorites that I wanted to cross off my list. Fortunately... I happened to peek at prices for ISFs and they definitely caught my eye. I've known of the car for several years, but just test drove a local one the other day and fell in love.
Anyways, I just went to the bank, grabbed a certified check, and will be flying a few states away on Thursday to pickup my Obsidian black 2008 ISF.
It has a clean carfax, long service history at Lexus, and I'm having a PPI done at the local Toyota dealership before taking delivery. I'll keep you guys posted with pics as soon as I pick it up. Here's to a smooth 10 hour drive back to North Carolina!
Thanks
Vik

Welcome aboard! The isf is a one of a kind. Peaceful when driven normal but once above 4k rpm, the beast unleashes. Would look forward for your safe return back along with some pics

Welcome aboard sakiv. A road trip is a great way to buy a car like the F, you're forced to bond. These things just eat the miles.
I did a Seattle - Bay Area no interstate round trip last year about 2 months after buying mine. Imagine you'll have some challenging "B" roads to enjoy.

Huge congrats on your impending F purchase.
As others have already said, amazing cars in every way.
Hope it checks out ok, and you have an exciting and enjoyable road trip together.
Look forward to seeing it once you're settled.

I wonder if their tuners will take a stab at the IS-F

Hey Mike,
If you're near the Hot Springs, VA area you should come check out the "Wanna Go Fast" event there this weekend. As soon as I get back, I'll be heading up there Friday morning from Charlotte. Might even bring the F.

I might be interested in a drive to NC for an IS-F meet-up if it was the weekend of Sept. 16-18.. The NHRA will be in Charlotte, and I'd love get my world rocked by some 10,000 HP nitro funny cars & top fuel dragsters.

Also, congrats on the new ride!

I live in Greenville, SC. I also graduated from USC a 'few" years ago
I picked my car up from Buffalo, NY. It spent 6 months out of the year in storage during the winter months.
The prior owner picked me up at the airport, then I drove the car to Niagara Falls, and all the way back to Grenville, SC. Needless to say that it was a fun road trip...
Enjoy your new ride and be safe!
