Default Need your help

Ok, Im building a resto mod, 1960 oldsmbile bubble top and came across a 2008 isf motor would really like to get this installed in the car, what a sleeper it would be. My question to you guys is motor has everything attached to it, is there anything external i would need to make this work? Understand id need to bypass certain things to get it to start, gas pedal is fly by wire, push button start etc...... what do you think? would be cool as all get out i think . Can it be done? Thanks

Cant help you with your questions as I'm not as mechanically inclined as some of the others on here, just wanted to say a 1960 bubbletop with an F motor is possibly one of the coolest ideas I've ever heard.

Anything can be done. It just depends on how many millions of hours you have to fabricate a wiring harness, after all the rest of the fabrication has been done. It would be far easier to start with a donor car if you are really inclined to do this. If the engine really is complete, you are going to need a trans; an ECU/TCU, and a host of other incidentals.

Although you would have a very unique Oldsmobubble with the F engine/trans; you would be light years ahead of the game by doing an all GM LS conversion.

Lol. I understand...... I wouldn't have even thought about this but the engine and 8 speed tranny is a package deal and given to me. So now the quest begins. Looking for necessary parts as u mentioned. The gear selector for automatic, and any other Ecu or what have you that I would need to make this work. Just surfing the web came across this club and joined to see what u gear heads might think of such a under taking. . It's gonna take a lot of time and fabrication but I think it'll be one of the baddest resto mods around. Anyway. Appreciate the guidance ,if you guys come across any parts I may need plz let me know.

And yes, a LS would be the way to go and if I can't get this done and able to run I'll be swapping the ISF for a LS.

PM this guy. He knows more than anyone here about what you're trying to do:

He did this:

He's also extremely helpful.
