Default Badgeless grille.

Who's got one of these and how's the quality?
I prefer the simple clean look of no badge but I don't wanna pay for a turd product.

I took my stock one out, and put a piece of black mesh that I bought online and temporarily put it on for one week. I liked it the first day and then after looking at for a few days in the parking lot at work, I ended up putting the factory one back in with the L logo. My car is black, so I ended up wrapping the chrome outside part of the grill with gloss black 3M wrap film. Then I wrapped the L in black/gray carbon fiber film. Looks much better now in my opinion.

I'm thinking about taking the plunge and trying it out. I know VIP Auto Salon has a couple, including a nice looking CF one, but I can't justify paying what they're trying to charge

Is the stock mesh just held on by clips? If so I might just do something similar

ok....im somewhat of an OG round these parts but i've always wondered why no one did this on the ISF. we used to do this a ton on the 2nd gen GS's. and if we didnt do badgeless...we definitely did body-colored. its almost impossible to find a body colored grill now that Sewell is outta the game.

luckily...my old ISF had the body colored grill. looks like i will have to go badgeless if i want the same effect on my next. or...i could just rock it like i did the GS.

Both...they all appear to variants of the CMod front grille....with no holes drilled into the top tabs and the fitment will be off on the surround, especially on the sides that lock into the bumper tabs.

It just does not fit right and will look off.

I was so dissappointed in the product I basically took the mesh out and just refitted it into the factory surround....for a perfect fit.

Yea i want to do this. I have done the same on my is300. I really like the clean open look.

I reached out to the vendor on ebay and they assured me it would not fit as it was for a is350 or 250.

Def not paying the price for VIP....

Any break down or diy on this using factory grill???
