So I finally got around to installing the Sikky from sway bars, now in the process I torqued down the busher nuts to around 42nm instead of the suggested 32nm.
Does this really matter?
I'm pretty **** when it comes to torquing things right, but I'm not arsed with redoing the bolts if an extra 10nm won't make a difference.
Hmmm...just a fruit for thought. I work as a technician on Commerical Aircrafts. Each tech MUST follow the maintenance manual. NO Deviation. If your suggested torque value is coming from the manufacturers manual or instructions. I'd follow it. I'm sure it's given to you for a reason. Plus, it continues a good habit of following instructions😉
Yeah ok thanks guys you aren't really helping me try and pass this one off lol,
BTW Does anyone know the exact torque settings for the front sway bar bushing bolts? the figure of 32nm is for the rear sways but I'm assuming the fronts would be the same right?
aaaaand I bet most members here don't torque their wheel nuts to 76 ft-lbs
