Buying a 2009 ISF
#16
Hi, I am in Vancouver and have an 2009 ISF and love it. It can run as a daily driver and then on the track, the ride is a little harsh at times, but it is fantastic. I have checked Mr Lube and private garages and they are not cheaper than going to Lexus for service. Cheers.

Finally had a nice day to work on my car. As some of you may know i had a decent amount of headlight condensation which led to burnt ballast.
Got a replacement ballast from eBay for 80$.
With Retro Rubber sealant 17$
With a some patience got everything working again.
Old ballast
Once everything was done i figured i still had some time so i painted my calipers.
Did a base coat of silver then blue With Ftype logos.
Lastly installed my Carbon front lip

The ballast is mounted to the bottom of headlight but to remove the wires you need to open the unit. Figure thats why Lexus charges 1800$ for a new unit when the ballast goes.
Painting calipers.
1) Sanded with 400 Grit then 600 Grit
2) Sprayed 2 light layers of VHT Silver Caliper paint
3) Sprayed 3 layers of VHT Blue
4) Applied Ftype logo
5) Sprayed Caliper Clear Coat
Waited about 5 minutes before each coat.
