Default IS F such a rare sight

Just been noticing this lately,i have had mine for about 3 weeks and I travel 50 miles round trip everyday,i haven't seen one, come to think of it I have only seen maybe 5 on the road since they first came out in 2008..

Do you guys see tons on the road?I seem more M3's and C63's everyday then I have seen IS-F's in the last 7 years since they first released the IS-F.

Totally agree. I've been obsessed more than 4 years now, so it is one of the cars I will absolutely 100% for sure notice even if it is in the opposite lane on the highway from a brief reflection in the rear view mirror.

I've seen exactly 1 while living in Ohio during a year I drove 20k miles (NYC, Chicago, Toronto, Pitts)... it was on the highway to Pitts.

I've seen exactly 2 in Austin, Texas in 2 years. A gray one. Tried following them lol. And another gray one downtown parked on the side of the road. (Heck, could have been the same one.)

In 4 years! These cars aren't that rare. I think that they are just garage queens for most owners or something! Hidden away! Which makes getting one all the better - you're the only one out there.

...

Hopefully my day is coming to have one.

It's def. an uncommon car, which is why I went for it. It's sleeper enough that no one really pays attention to it. Combo that with mine being black, which hides the side vents, most people probably assume it's a regular IS. The only thing that probably catches their attention is when they see an IS drive by sounding like an american muscle car.

Funny thing is when I lived in Colorado I used to see quite a few there for some reason which is strange. Since moving to California, I've only seen a couple on the road; however, CA is such a large state I'm sure there are quite a few running around here.

I agree though, the ISF is a rare breed so it's cool when you actually get to see one.

They are that rare, only ~5000 running around the entire U.S.

Interesting. There's probably at least 4 of them in town here haha. One at my gym and one at my wife's alone. I think the simple WA folk like the less in your face styling of the car. Compared to a place like CA where you are shunned unless you stand out... With the same M, AMG, S model everyone else has lol.

I have had a couple of people comment , " nice car" recently at a gas station and today in traffic. Glad to see even though we are rare the ISF gets love from real car guys.
