Are you making repeated stops from 100mph+ on the road? Porsche steel brakes are very good (I have them on a Macan Turbo) and there is no real difference in braking until you do repeated stops. Weight of the car doesn't really matter as long as the steel brakes are sized appropriately. Here is a good video showing differences:
I do not necessarily make repeated stops from 100mph+ every time I drive. My daily commute usually takes me around 40mins and in the last 5 mins I have a chance for some spirited driving which will includes a couple of 100mph+ stops. Keeping in mind the brakes will be hot by then from the commute + living in a hot climate region and the weight of the car I think it would be a logical and good choice to have (completely ignore cost of consumables). Also at no point do I plan to track the car.
