Default Lexus Canada ECP

New member here and will be taking delivery on my 2012 CPO Lexus ISF in Alberta. This probably has been beaten by the horse, but is the ECP that Lexus is offering worth it? According to my dealer, they said this warranty can only be bought on delivery at it's "special pricing" The ECP is laid out as

96months/160,000KM for $2750 CAD.

Interested to know what others think. I still have another 2 years of power train and 1.5 years of bumper to bumper.

Thanks!

That's no "special pricing" I paid 1k less for something similar, on my previous F. Certified Pre Owned means it should be good as new. I'd say save the $2700, for down the road. You can always purchase an extended warranty later for around the same price at worse case. There selling you a third party warranty, something you can do on your own. Find out who the company is, and have them quote you coverage for later on. It all depends on you though, you can never put a price on peace of mind.

Thanks for the reply! I'll do a little more digging and go from there.

Mine has been totally worth every penny.

In 2008, In Canada....... the similar coverage was $4450.00 (96mths/ 200K = 8 years)

ECP is Lexus not 3rd party.......

Pricing is readily available on Lexus Canada's web site to compare your value......

Remember that's is Canadian dollars and also keep in mind, we get ripped off for everything up here. I payed $2500 CAD for mine and it has payed for itself. OP, you can negotiate the price so talk them down. I've replaced my water pump, Radiator and now my gauge cluster. If you bought a series 2 F, your screen will most likely go too and who knows what else.

Yep! It was bad timing for me as I wanted an RCF. They are selling pretty quick and hard to get one that is on the lot without ordering.

I'm awaiting on delivery next week for the ISF and I believe this is the same ISF that 4everkidd owned? I could be wrong.

Looks like the CPO ECP offered by Lexus is the gold plan and not the platinum plan. The NAV screen is not covered by the Gold Plan. Canada warranties might differ from the USA. I'll probably continue on with the Gold Plan as I don't feel like shelling out $6000 for warranty when the NAV screen is an easy $25 dollar fix.

Yes it was his, it's unlikely the dealership knows but it still has headers on it too so that's a bonus. If you want an RCF Royal oak has one on the lot. I was there last week and looked while I was getting a service but for the life of me I can't recall what colour it was.
