I'm not sure if anyone has dynoed this, but the increase will be very marginal.

My first IS F came with straight pipes...I hated the aesthetic presentation (empty space on rear diffusers). The sound was killer awesome! I snapped necks like crazy and was ways complimented for the sound from random people everywhere I went. According to the previous owner that setup yielded 10 whp...very marginal, like stated in previous post. I don't have a torque number but from experience I'll tell you it lost that awesome stock torque sound, feel, and power. It had more top end power than lower end. I highly recommend keeping your stock exhaust intact and simply purchasing an aftermarket one.

I have straight pipes and no secondary mufflers but there is no way is that loud. It is almost as loud as stock on the inside of the car.

Why would you lose low end torque/power by removing the mufflers??

Are there any other people on the forums that have that Bazooka rear section from RR? I've seen a few of the videos that they have posted on what I imagine was their test vehicle. I am curious to hear others impressions.

It sounds nuts, but almost wondering if you would have to buy both rear sections and switch back and forth because it would be just too unbearable year around haha.

I spoke to Simon from RR Racing last week. You have several choices...You can buy the full borla axle back system to keep the stock diffusers on, which keeps the F quite but gives it more rumble. You can remove the rear section from the borla to add their magna flow mufflers to remove the stock diffusers to have the round tip look. Which looks more like the ISS forged tips. For more sound, they have the Bazooka rear section which comes with no mufflers at all. It supposed to be quite 2k rpms and below...very loud over the 2k rpm. Just last week, they're adding the choice of purchasing the Borla axle section only (pipes) , packaged with either the magna flow muffler tips or Bazooka tips rear. Which will save everyone from having to buy the full axle back system. Simon, did express you will have switch back and forth if you can tolerate the sound for daily driving but it will be very easy to make the exange.

For me I daily drive it and it fine. I also removed all sound proofing from the trunk and the spare etc. (I have battery relocated back there now) its not bad at all. Its almost stock at idle and just a little louder at WOT.

Here is an in car video from a track day. In these clips both front windows are down for SCCA rules. I am thinking of actually having the resonator removed to really wake her up.
