Default Just bought a 2011 ISF. Looking to mod

First things first, love the car. Drove it back to back to back with the m3 and c63 amg. Knew right away it was the better choice. I'd like to order intake within the week and get a custom exhaust next week. Not much to choose from but I am curious to see if anyone has confirmed knn or takedas hp gains (22 and 16 whp)? It is largely for sound but if one makes noticeably more hp that could be a deciding factor.

I also have a 2011.

I went with an HPS intake hose/AFE filter and a Borla cat back exhaust.

It's been almost a year with both mods and I'm very happy with my choices.

I have the HPS intake hose and stock filter as well as a fast intentions axleback. General consensus I've got from this forum is that the stock intake is already pretty efficient and intake that don't use the stock airbox are subject to heatsoak. If you really want some HP gains get some headers and exhaust.

I agree with the above. Save your money on the intake and get headers and exhaust. There's little to be gained from the intake. I'd get a hps, Joe-z or rr-racing intake if you really want one.

Thanks for the quick responses. I think I will probably go with the hps tube after looking into it. Custom exhaust for sure, obviously the stock system very restrictive considering the typical demographic. Did just any exhaust garage do your headers? I read it's a five hour job and an engine drop.

I'm picking up my IS-F this Saturday. I already ordered springs, Cusco strut bar, Borla Exhaust and a few other things.

Looking into headers next, waiting on a response from Novell. When the new Greddy exhaust comes out I'll pick that up, but here is a IS-F header install, motor doesn't get pulled:

PPE header and Sikky Header will be good HP gain.

Congrats on the F! No engine drop needed, but figure 8-10 hours labor in the shop

I have the HPS intake on my ISFwith a Tom's Drop in Filter. Best prevention from heat soak in my opinion other than stock.

As for exhaust, I would not go custom exhaust unless the price is worth it. My friend got a custom exhaust on his ISF and he regrets it. The resell value on a custom exhaust is also not there. I went from Joe-z to ISS Forged and have something in the works.. Not custom, but very special..

Guys, next week we will be shipping our two new Borla upgrades... the Dual Magnaflow Quad Tip Upgrade, and the Quad Tip Bazooka upgrade (We also have plenty of Borla systems in stock):

And of course we have many other new products for the ISF, like our awesome Ultimate Steering Response System (USRS):

Couldn't get a clean shot of the car, but hopefully this is good enough!
