Is it a model year difference between pre-2012 and 2013+? Or is it due to a package option?
It's a year difference.

Do all years have the front defroster lines at the base of the windshield? For my MY2012 the switch for this is located on the dash where the older cars have their "Sport" button. As has been stated the newer cars had the Sport button moved tot he steering wheel.

It was added in 2011 to Canadian models.

It states LED headlights... I thought my 2011 ISF has D4S HID bulbs with the LED SWOOSH being the new "update" for the facelift?

^^if you're referring to the original post, I believe "updated" as in black chrome housing 2012+ compared to chrome on the 2011. The '11 is slightly more prone to bubbling; fortunately I had mine replaced with the dark chrome under warranty.

and you are correct that all years are using HIDs and no leds in the low beams.

^^ I also believe 2011 the LED strip was a "warm" white (closer to halogen color than LED) and the 2012+ was a pure white or more LED-like.

I highly appreciate it. Yes, my 2011 was updated to the 2012+ with the previous owner through the bubbling. I just didn't; understand the minor updates.

Hey Gents, new here, searching for an F, will likely pick one up in the spring unless I stumble into a no-brainer before then. Anyway going through this post and comparing it to cars I've been shopping for, I noticed a slight tweak is required. The 2009 cars not equipped with Nav still kept the same silver trimmed dash from 2008. Only 2009+ cars with navigation got the black trimmed dash. The Nav system appeared to always be an be an option till 2014 however starting around 2010 it seems to be extraordinarily rare to find one that didn't come with it. I believe that had you ordered a 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 or 2014 without navigation it would still have the silver dash however finding examples of any of these has proven to be futile.

^^^^It's tough to find any ISF without Navigation. Any ISF, any year.

I've only seen one in this forum.

I would have thought so too but 3 of the 8 cars for sale in my area don't have nav. Maybe I'm just lucky, two 2008s and one 2009.

I have only seen one. They are definitely rare. I have a bad back and use my backup cameras. If you want the camera, you need the Nav model. Just food for thought.

I definitely want the Nav but also for the Mark Levinson system and backup cam. Plus, I find it looks much better with the black dash in the 09+. When I saw the grey dash in the 09 I thought maybe the pictures where wrong or the car was the wrong year but upon more research, I realized that's just the way the are.

Hey guys.

I've seen a 2010 ISF here in the UK with 31k on it. I had my heart set on a 2011 up with the changes to the dash clocks, suspension, etc. Would anyone reccomend I hold out for a 2011 up? Is it worth it? This 2010 I've looked at is black on black and the low miles is tempting.
