Default Lexus Diagnostic?

Hey guys,

So here's the deal. For my IS-F (08 w/Navi, and ML). I've been dealing with a VSS code. Since the car had to go to the dealer for the warranty for the cooling fans, and a few other misc recalls.

Anyway, so I went ahead and had them diagnosis it. So pretty much this is what they said (more or less).

The car had the amps taped into (which I did) with the AudioControl LC2i. And supposedly there is a VSS wire that is tapped into the radio, and that MIGHT have caused it.

But they don't really want to mess with it because it has too many mods (secondary o2 bypass, and no cats).

The problem is, when I first got the car, it threw a code that wasn't for the VSS (too long ago to remember), but I did wayyyyy too much stuff all at once (so sue me, I get hyper around car parts), and the problem arose. I don't remember if it happened after the coilovers, or the amp (I remember installing the amp while waiting for the coilovers, but the car was apart so I wasn't driving it.)

Does this sound right to you guys? I bought a consult clone, and there is a VSS signal from the ABS sensors (all four), and the wiring from the ECU to cluster is good (big thanks for the forum for helping with that one).

I don't have the wiring diagram for the amp, I did a lot of searching, and found something close to it, so I don't remember what I tapped into.

My first plan of action is to get the car back, and undo the wiring for the LC2i and see if that fixes anything. A diagram for the amp would be great, and what you guys tapped into would be a great help!

Dropped the trans pan, and replaced a speed sensor. Sensor cost me about 130 bucks, not to mention the 8 quarts for the WS trans fluid.

Still got the damn code. Only thing left is TCM.

I tried to reset the TCM via the TechStream the other day and it wouldn't let me. It connect, then stop. I found an ecu on eBay for 300 bucks -_-.

Lets hope this fixes it.

I noticed you are in Texas, mind me asking which dealer told you, you had too many mods? Good luck with your troubleshooting too. Hope you get this resolved.

Find a guy with access to a factory scan tool and pay him on the side. Or an up to date snap-on scan tool has excellent lexus coverage.

Lexus of Austin -_-

I have a fake tech stream that I'm using that has been working pretty well.
