Default Pic Request | Ashtray/Console Removed

Hey everyone, curious if anyone has handy a pic of the ashtray/center console area removed from the car? I'm specifically looking to see what the area beneath the ashtray looks like; if there is anything beneath it and/or about how much space there is from the bottom of it to the floor area beneath it.

For those of you that saw my post about my custom mount for the V1 concealed display I'm basically looking to redo/replace the mount with what I originally had in mind but it's going to require some additional customization. If it works as planned it'll be pretty slick - at least IMO haha. Anyway, if you have any pics I'd appreciate it. If not I'm sure I'll be pulling things apart this weekend.

Good find on the Youtube video.

Please don't use a bladed screwdriver though!

Get yourself some nylon trim removal tools. You can buy them in sets from eBay for a few bucks.

If you don't want to buy the nylon tools, at least wrap the tip of the blade in insulating tape to minimise the scratching/marking you will do trying to lever things around.

Best of luck!

I never use any tools. You can remove everything with your hands very easily. The hardest part is the two side pieces, but if you just slide a fingernail under the edge at the back, gently lift and pull backward they come right out.

This thread also covers removing the center console without tools.

Thanks lobux...I definitely see your point and appreciate the advice. Have a few other vehicles the tools will come in handy for as well so it wasn't money wasted
