Default Anyone run into this issue?

Hey guys, check engine and tcs light came on solid. Rough idling and rpm fluctuations while cruising. Brought it to toyota and they scanned it revealing a P2195 code: bank 1 air fuel sensor stuck lean. So what I'd like to know is; has anyone had this happen? How long was the vehicle in the shop? What is involved in repairing this problem?

Just guessing.....

Is it really cold there, right now...like the rest of Canada?

I would go directly to the Mass Air Flow sensor first...frozen or caked in dirt or maybe plugged air filter. Look for a loose hose etc.....check clamps are tight etc.

Is it an OEM air filter of aftermarket?

Your only drivability issue should be excessive fuel consuption, and perhaps no trac control (due to limp mode).

You need to find a reliable mechanic locally for help sometimes.

It's cold and goes from a heated garage to -30, and easy 35-40 degree difference. The intake is oem with stock filter. It was recommended that I unplug the neg terminal for a while then hook it back up and take it for full throttle run through a couple gear to get it "unstuck". I will take a look at the mag and see if there's anything on it. Any idea what the best method for cleaning it would be?

Looks like an 02 Sensor.. Provide full information about the ISF + Modifications.

The car is 2011, ppe headers and borla exhaust, stock intake. Less than 60,0000km. I always run the proper fuel and follow the maintenance schedule. I asked about the new recalls and was told the fuel one wouldn't cause this. The headers shouldn't be doing this either, wrong code for an O2. Look I to this further online I guess it's the pre cat sensor. Could be caused by the ppe wiring I suppose.

...up in fort mac I'm guessing? I thought I read something about issues with wiring melting due to header install, maybe you should search threads on that

I recently experienced the same thing minus the rough idle and rpm fluctuations. The only two things that were "new/different" about the car were the intake & filter and exhaust (which had been done about 2-3 weeks prior) and I had been removing/replacing fuses while hard-wiring my radar detector (which was the day before). Naturally I started with the most obvious/recent (reverting all electrical changes) and when that didn't fix it (at least not on it's own) I disconnected the negative cable to the battery and let it sit for 15+ minutes. For me that seemed to do the trick. Had that not worked my next course of action was going to be clean the MAF sensor (just use
CRC MAF Sensor cleaner CRC MAF Sensor cleaner
- can get at most Auto Stores) and then to get a code reader on it and prepare to possibly replace my O2 sensors (as I had read the same thing Jadeboy suggested). Still not 100% certain what caused it but reading this and the comments about the weather I do recall there was a sudden change/drop in temps in my area around that time. Not sure I fully understand how/what could cause that to be the culprit but crossing my fingers that it doesn't occur again. Seems after my searches on here while the symptoms always appear to be the same the resolutions aren't Good luck!

Knowing this.... I would go right to the O2 sim wire first.

If it turns out to be a problem caused by the aftermarket headers, you will probably get stuck paying for your tow and repair bill yourself.. Not under warranty.

I had some weird fluctuations but no lights and it went away with more wot...
