do i remove the black ring sitting on the shock mount? or install the strut bar on top of it? what are you guys doing?

 

I didn't remove it on mine? Doesn't seem to cause any issues.

Cutting the side covers was the PITA! Lol.

Fortunately I had a friend with an air sander gring away the excess plastic. Would have taken ages by hand!

Worth buying some trim edging to finish off round the cuts. Looks much cleaner.
