Default Check engine light on, help!

Hey guys

I took my car to get inspected today and it was rejected because of P0420 and P0430: Both Catalyst system efficiency below... My check engine is also on.

I have the full Meisterschaft exhaust installed (+midpipe) PPE headers and K&N intake. Do you know whats the problem and how can I get this fixed so I can pass the inspection?

Thanks!

You will have to reset the codes for awhile even with the module properly installed. For some of us, it goes away after a while. Some still has the codes coming back from time to time

Was your header recently installed? Asking cause make sure the o2 simulator installed correctly? Or check your o2 sensors I had p0420 end up being o2 .

So do you have any form of catalytic converter still installed?

If not, could that not be a reason for it failing?

You could also have the O2 sensor issues associated with replacing the headers others have suggested.

Over here you'd fail an inspection for not having any catalytic converters installed as part of the initial basic visual check. I also doubt it would pass the sniffer test cat-less.

Hope you get it sorted chap.
