Trade or Keep?
1) Do you foresee yourself in any financial distress? Payments on an IS F and GTR are drastic, along with insurance costs, gas, maintenance, etc.
2) Do you utilize rear seating?
3) Do you value speed and modability over reliability and refinement?
If the answer is no to all of them, then the GTR is the way to go. They're crazy fast, fun to mod, and will spank practically every car on the road when challenged. But you'll be getting a MY15 GTR with a complete refresh coming for the R36. If you like the body styling and don't really use a performance car for other than yourself AND finances/responsibilities are all taken care of, the GTR would be my suggestion. It just depends on what you are planning to do with the car.
Best of luck!

Being a recent is-f owner I also came across this question shortly before purchase.
I respect the gtr as one of the fastest cars on the street...but being in the design industry I think it's not a nice looking car lol
Plus the chance of using all that power as a DD for semi business use is close to 5% at best... Not worth it's upkeep costs @@

If the F is already paid for in full then, keep it!!! It's an overall great balanced car. If not, then answer yourself the questions posted by bnizzle87. Which pretty much sums it all up...good luck!
Personally, I would keep both. I originally planned on keeping my Camaro SS, and then pairing it with a GT-R in teh stable. Totally different beasts RWD to AWD. To say that one can "replace" the other just doesn't cut it.
if you can afford to keep both, i would keep both.
I plan to do this also, but I think I am going to get a last year 2015 ZL1 first, so GT-R just got bumped 5 yrs.

I don't see the GT-R as a replacement to the ISF but a companion. I went over this debate long time ago and I just couldn't trade all the comfort and refinement of the ISF for the raw power (but low quality materials) on the GT-R. I couldn't picture myself daily driving a car with cloth seats (or bad quality leather seats), the feel of so much plastic inside the cabin, or even thinking that a car as expensive as the GT-R is still using a hood prop. I'm spoiled, if I get a GT-R it'd be in addition to another car.

depends on your lifestyle. i personally wouldn't. the F fills my dd needs very nicely.
i'd like to add a sports car to the garage soon but to me that means a proper sports car aka McLaren 12C, Ferrari Scud, R8 V10 etc. i like the GT-R very much but for 100k+ there is no way I would consider one, too many 'better' options at that price point (imo).

Like others said, if it can fit your lifestyle and budget, go for it!
If I was looking for an ultimate overall performance under $100k and didn't need the extra 2 doors, the GT-R would be on my very short list.
I heard GT-R's were selling for 15k under invoice right now, some guy on the VW forums just picked up a brand new white one for 89k so it seems like a great deal.
